Our safari day trip was all in the Chobe National Park in Botswana. Which means we got to go through a dirt road border crossing that is exactly what you’d expect based on movies and TV. The lines were long and slow, the building hot and stuffy. Nobody was in a hurry.
We didn’t take cameras or phones on the rafting day, but you KNOW I went nuts with the animals. We got to see all the impalas in Africa, lions, hippos, water buffalo, giraffes, elephants, crocodiles, and all their bird friends. Our drivers and guides were knowledgeable and great at finding the animals and getting us a close as we safely could.
The first half of the day was on land, then we had lunch at a fancy resort and then spent the afternoon on the Chobe river. The animals pretty much speak for themselves…
