Made it to Cape Town! We can’t check in at our airbnb for a couple hours but we walked around the corner and found a pizza/beer/coffee place. I’m going to enjoy it here.
Driving on the left is weird. The car is an automatic which is good, though the turn signal and wiper levers are swapped. The windshield will be spotless when we bring it back after all these turns we’re signaling with the wipers.
It’s currently 79 and sunny and we’re sitting at the outdoor bar waiting for our pizzas. Neener.
Besides cleaning the windshield a lot, how many times, as the driver, have you gotten into the car on the left side? 🙂
I haven’t opened the wrong door yet, but started towards it a time or two. I’m more worried about turning onto the wrong side of the road. It’s also habit to look a particular direction when we are walking across a street. The cars around here all come from the wrong direction then too!
